Experts at the American
Department of Agriculture
have found that fresh herbs contain
large amounts of antioxidants
like vitamin C, beta-carotene
and vitamin A. A tablespoon
of oregano has as many antioxidants
as an apple.
Herbs
are also helpful for weight
loss. Fat-free
and calorie-free,
they make excellent substitutes
for higher fat flavorings like butter
and cream.
You don't need a
garden or greenhouse to grow herbs.
