How
many treatments are necessary?
Each
person’s needs are unique and a
treatment plan is designed specifically
to meet those needs. No two people respond
the same way to a particular modality.
Length
of treatment depends on the type, duration,
severity of condition and physical state
of the patient at the time of treatment.
Because
acupuncture works on a cumula-tive basis,
a typical course of treatment ranges between
four to six visits. When these are completed,
an evaluation is done to determine if
any more treatments are necessary.
However,
for acupuncture to be most effective,
at least two to three consecutive treatments
a week are necessary. As results are achieved,
the interval between treatments can be
lengthened.
Once a
patient’s health is restored, they
return every three months for “tune-ups”
to maintain optimum health. |
